TestMyBrain is not just a digital laboratory! We also provide researchers access to our cloud-based platform (easily accessible via web browser) for administering remote, digital cognitive assessments on smartphones, tablets, and desktop/laptop computers. Our digital cognitive testing platform also provides access to raw and summary score data in real-time through a secure data portal.

We have been in continuous operation for over 19 years, making us one of the longest running web-based digital cognitive research platforms in the world (with lots of improvements over the years!).  This means we have a LOT of experience!

Our digital cognitive assessments are unique in three key ways:

1. DEVELOPMENT

Our tests are designed using an iterative test development approach (learn more) in large, diverse samples through our digital laboratory here at TestMyBrain.org (>100,000 participants in some cases!).

2. FLEXIBILITY

Tests are validated on psychometric and engagement characteristics, as well as accessibility across diverse participants and devices, ensuring they are well-suited for remote administration on participants’ own devices.

3. TRANSPARENCY

Our tests are open-source with accompanying open datasets. All tests, scoring algorithms, and normative performance are fully transparent. We believe openness is critical for scientific rigor and reproducibility.

TMB Toolkits

As part of our mission to increase the accessibility of high-quality cognitive tests for the research and education communities, we have built specific toolkits containing some of our most popular cognitive tests. These free toolkits provide basic infrastructure for small research studies that want to incorporate digital cognitive testing.
